Buy me a ticket on an aeroplane...
When I found out that my 94 year old grandfather was not doing well, I decided it was time to pack us (Jadyn and me) up and get tickets for a plane ride up north. Jadyn was a trooper - she put up with 12 hours in her carseat and, thanks to benadryl, did remarkably well. We spent a week up north seeing family and a few friends. Here are some of my favorite pics from the trip.
A bottle before boarding. Benadryl included.
Asleep on the plane. She drifted off just after take-off. Thank you, Benadryl.
Awake on the plane, happy and refreshed after her nap. She only cried at landing and I think her ears were bothering her.
Playing with Oma and her dog Sandy. They were great together.
Hanging out with my friend Kris's kids, Corey and Kira. (That's Kira showing us her squinchy face.)
My mom sang to her, "Jadyn, Oma loves you."

My favorite picture from the trip. With Great Grandpapa. Doesn't she look like she's reaching out to help him feel better?
Under a chair at Great Grandpapa's house. She got herself in "jail".
Airplane tickets for mom and baby: $575
Rental car for the week: $315
New toys as a reward for being so good: $12
New baby clothes because PA has no sales tax: $53

All in all, it was a really great trip. Worth every penny and all the stress.
